Why a 'real' greeting card is still special!

1. People keep them – I’ve seen plenty of handwritten cards lovingly saved on the fridge, desk or mantel. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve yet to see any emails, faxes or text messages displayed in this manner.

2. A greeting card envelope will get noticed– because we know it’s not going to be a bill, some lame business letter or an offer from the credit card companies.

3. Yes it's 'ole school' way to communicate – in this day of email, texting, IMing, facebooking and twittering – a handwritten card takes us back to a time where people cared more – ok, I agree that may sound a bit lame, but it shows that you were prepared to spend a few more minutes of your time and a stamp rather than the 5 minutes you took sending an email or e-card that’s gonna end up in their spam folder anyway.

And by the way- 'ole school' traditions are making a comeback.

So think of that special someone or someone you haven't connected with in a while and send them a card.. Sending one will never hit your list of regrets.

Have a blessed day
